Genalogy up to the paternal granparents
Joan Gaudí i Escura, inheritor of Joan Gaudí Occitanian and the first Catalan Gaudí, was of office weaver. He married in 1663 Maria Oriol.

His son Josep Gaudí i Oriol, of office farmer, married in 1700 Vicenta Coll.

His son Josep Gaudí i Coll (1708-1778) was also a farmer and he married Maria Figueras.

His son Francesc Gaudí i Figueras (Riudoms 1739-1830) continued being a farmer in Riudoms and there married in 1767 Francesca Salvany i Serra (Riudoms 1752 - between 1790 and 1811), also from Riudoms. This branch the coppersmith entered Anton Gaudí's genealogical tree: Francesca Salvany was a daughter of Simeó Salvany, coppersmith born in Vilafranca del Penedès, established in Riudoms and married in 1751 with Francesca Serra; and grandson of Josep Salvany, also coppersmith, married with Dionisia.

His son Francesc Gaudí i Salvany (Riudoms 1773-1828) was coppersmith and he married Rosa Serra i Torroja (Reus 1786-1875), of ancestry from Reus and known as “la Calderera”. They are the paternal grandparents of Anton Gaudí. Of this couple there was born in 1813 Francesc Gaudí i Serra, father of Anton Gaudí.
