| Principal works |
Gaudí's principal work is the Expiatory Temple of the Sacred Family, to which he dedicated forty three years of hi life and where he had his professional office.
But Gaudí did other works —few ones, in comparison with other architects of his generation—, in that he was trying forms and structures that later he would use in his project of the Sacred Family (1883-1926).
In Barcelona:
The Born (1874-1876, collaborating with Josep Fontserè)
Waterfall of the Ciutadella (1875-1885, collaborating with Josep Fontserè)
Aribau's terrace in the Ciutadella (1875, collaborating with Josep Fontserè)
Grating of the Ciutadella (1876)
Shrine above the altar of the Virgin of Montserrat (1876-1887, collaborating with Francisco del Villar)
Doors of the Ciutadella (1876-1877, collaborating with Josep Fontserè)
Lampposts of the square Reial and of the Pla del Palau (1878-1879)

Other doors of the estate Güell (1884-1887)
Fountain of Hercules (1884-1887)

In the rest of Catalonia and Majorca:
Cooperative society Mataronense (Mataró, 1883)
Altar of Jesus-Maria's chapel (Tarragona, 1880-1884)
Warehouses Güell (El Garraf, 1895-1901)
Refuge in El Catllaràs (La Pobla de Lillet, 1902-1903)
Gardens of the Font de la Magnèsia (La Pobla de Lillet, 1903-1910)
I Mistery of Glory of the Monumental Rosary of Montserrat (1900-1907)
Church of the settelement Güell (Santa Coloma de Cervelló, 1908-1917)
Restoration of the Cathedral of Majorca (1903-1914)
Out of Catalonia:
El Capricho (The Caprice, Comillas, 1883-1885)
House Botines (León, 1891-1892)
Astorga's Episcopal Palace (Astorga, 1889-1893)
Tomb of Dr. Grau (1893)
Gaudí was occupying so much of the set of the building as of the details of the decoration. This way, he was an excellent designer of furniture and of liturgical objects. Also we preserve some drawings and of graphical work.
Some Gaudí's works have been ephemeral, because already they were done by this intention or because they have been destroyed by the passage of time.
Finally, Gaudí did enough projects that have never been constructed.
