"The charm of the woman" is the title more adapted to the exhibition at the hall of mirrors of the Big Theater of the Liceu of twenty-five pictures of Ramon Casas. We can see joints those of the Museum of Montserrat and those of the Circle of the Liceu, in a complete view of the feminine condition that Casas picked up and represented magisterially.
The Parisian woman, the cabaret woman, the nun woman, the Andalusia woman, the gypsy woman, the bourgeois woman from Barcelona, the yonky woman, the Catalan popular woman, the dancer woman... There are all they, expressing each her particular charm, diverse concretions of the feminity before the feminist revolution of the second half of the 20th century. They are, all, feminine women, that act as the feminity the purpose exclusive to their being, the absolute one in which they code their perfection.
Any more there are not women like these. The feminist revolution has left to us in Occident some women manly, crossbred with other social roles and with other values that share their longings and their work with the feminity. The charm of the women that Casas received and he expressed immortally is nowadays only an exercise of nostalgia. A delicious exercise.
