As it turns out that in Barcelona in the year 2008 more people went to the theater to football. I refer to F.C. Barcelona, “Barça”, including the League, the Cup and Champions. There were about 1,300,000 spectators at the “Camp Nou”. And if we add the Espanyol in the Montjuďc Stadium, it goes up a little more.
But falls short of the seats occupied in the 43 theaters in the city, 10 public and 32 private, not counting the music: the Liceu, the Palau, the Auditorium and the others. In Barcelona, most people will go to theaters than football, despite the fact that the city is best known for the “Barça” that for its actors and shows.
We should change the image that we have and projects from the capital of Catalonia, to bring it into reality. Barcelona is a city largely cultural, and government of Catalonia and the legislators should know and do: increase the budget for culture, including theater to education, by making a law of patronage, and helping with their assistance and comments to all this that civil society does.
