Pope praises Gaudí

"Tomorrow a year ago in Barcelona, I had the joy of dedicating the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, admirable amount of technique, beauty and faith, which conceived the Servant of God Antoni Gaudí, the brilliant architect," said Benedict XVI in his address of the Angelus on Sunday November 6, 2011. Indeed, one of the most recorded impressions for those that attending the ceremony was the face of great, honest and out of if, of Josep Ratzinger, at the opening of the doors of the basilica and, as the architect wanted, to contemplate the act throughout the interior, to the hyperboloid of the apse, as a manifestation of the unity of God and his Church. The Pope ended his address to the pilgrims with a greeting in Catalan, the language of Gaudí: "Bon diumenge!"
