Disappear falcon chicks of the Sagrada Família

New problems for the pair of hawks of the Sagrada Família. It has run out of chicks, after unknown assailants entered your nest in the tower of St. Barnabas in the Facade of the Nativity! Last year, the female died in a plane crash and the male pulled out himself their offspring orphan. This spring, the male widower had found another female. The new couple did not settle in the old nest, which is continuously monitored by a webcam, and chose to build their home with full intimacy, fifty feet up in the tower of St Barnabas. In fact, humans not know how many eggs were incubating -normal is two or three. Going up to examine the newly hatched chicks, it was found that they had all disappeared from the nest, situated in a banned access to both tourists and the faithful. It can only be reached through the works. The municipal program falcons in Barcelona -extinct in the late 60 and reintroduced in 1999- have been placed in the nest few newly hatched chicks born in captivity, but have been rejected by the pair of hawks. Chicks, whose sale is illegal, can achieve a high price on the black market. Autorities have opened an investigation.
